11/15/2012 ROCKWELL OPENING NIGHT WRAP-UP
A huge and very sincere thank you to everyone who made opening night of Heroes and Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross such a huge success at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass over this past weekend. Roughly 450 people showed up for opening night festivities sharing a meet and greet with Alex Ross himself. For those that came out, we offer a tremendous thank you for making this opening one of the most successful ever for the Rockwell. Your tremendous outpouring of passion and enthusiasm fuels everything we do. We also want to thank all the fine folks of Stockbridge for making the trip itself so enjoyable. And finally, we again, want to thank Jesse Kowalski, Director of Exhibitions at The Andy Warhol Museum and curator of the Ross exhibition as well as Jeremy Clowe, Manager of Media Services at the Normal Rockwell Museum. Without the tireless efforts of these two gentlemen, none of this would have happened.
The show itself is now open to the public through February 24, 2013. For further information about Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross, check out http://www.nrm.org/alexross/.
